Parking in Sorrento is certainly not the easiest thing in the world and it could be very expensive: After waisting your time in traffic, you may find yourself forced to maybe wander for hours looking for a parking space. For this reason we recommend using public buses and trains: a good alternative in the summer are for example the hydrofoil, specially during the night.
Also consider that: from 7.00 p.m. until 2.00 a. m. the main street of Sorrento, Corso Italia is usually open for pedestrians only. In the summer, then the block is extended to the entire center and to reach areas like the port you need a ticket up to three euros per car.
It's possibile look for the white stripes free parking in extremely peripheral, while in the blue stripes a park card should be exhibited from 8 am to 24 pm. The park card costs 1 euro per hour but in the evening find it is not easy.
