From Praiano through the pass of Colle Serra it's possible to reach the San Domenico's monastery, situated in a lovely position approximately 400 meters above sea level, where you can visit the Church of S. Maria Castro of the XI century and the Dominican convent dating from the sixteenth century.
After about forty minutes of walking in the forest vegetation will be possible to reach the most amazing path overlooking the sea. From here the vegetation changes and meets the Mediterranean scrub, oak forests and wilderness areas those are crossed with caves and deep coves.
It is not unusual to see flocks of sheep on the road and goats.
Following a very tortuous path, full of ups and downs, we pass the impressive Vallone Gradelle and reach the hamlet of Nocelle (440m), the small village where time has stood still.
Here you can decide to go down with a small bus to Positano or continue by stairway. there are about 1500 steps to Arienzo, on Amalfi Coast.
