Mi illumino di Inverno: christmas and new year's day events in Sorrento
Is richer than ever, the program that the City of Sorrento has arranged to provide amusements and attractions for tourists and residents. A real event that will go on for all the holidays, from 28 November 2011 - January the 6th 2012. And there's something for every taste.
The lights will be installed in all the sensitive areas and in the city's main square, Piazza Tasso, home of the large and spectacular Christmas tree.
In a row, the early program of the Christmas and New Year’s day in Sorrento 2011-2012:
- International Film Festival Days from November the 28th to December the 3rd
- Sorrento’s Gastronomic Days from December the 1st to the 20th. During the event will be awarded the Villa Massa Award
- Guided tours and special opening of the Correale Museum and of the Museum Shop of Wood Inlay
- From December the 7th returns “Suoni Divini”, a journey through art, music and gastronomy in the complex of San Paolo
- XXII edition of the Sorrento Jazz show with the concert of Raffaele Gulazzi in Piazza Tasso on December the 29th
- Autumn Sonata with shows and street entertainment from the 1st to the 10th of January 2012
- Crib Exhibition at Villa Fiorentino from December the 8th to January the 8th 2012
- Opening of the typical Christmas market in Piazza Veniero, Priora and Casarlano on December the 8th
- Neri per Caso concert in Piazza Tasso on December the 23rd
- Concert "The Star of Christmas" in Piazza Tasso on December the 30th
- Crackling end of year with the fireworks show on January the 31st in Piazza Tasso
