The marathon of the Gulf of Capri - Naples is a long distance race of international importance, which is valid for the World Cup of specialties.
A difficult and challenging race that takes place in one of the most beautiful and picturesque Italian: the Gulf of Naples. The edition number 46 of the marathon of the Gulf of Capri – Naples will be held on the 19th of June 2011. As usual it will be an hard and challenging race with its 36 kilometers.
The marathon Gulf Capri - Naples Grand Prix is part of the Fina World Cup swimming background at distances greater than ten kilometers, which takes place in several stages. Expected departure around 10 am at the Lido Ondine of Capri and arrival at Naples, close to Diaz roundabout around 17 pm.
The race is divided into two tranches, a free, which comes close to the Castel dell 'Ovo, and a second part, with the path marked by buoys that reaches the round Diaz. Giveaway the Banco di Napoli trophy.
At the starting lines 24 athletes belonging to 12 nations. Among the athletes of this year eight women. Rattling off the details of the previous editions there is a predominance of the Egyptians, called the "Nile crocodiles”, Syrians, and Argentinian, nicknamed the" alligators".
Headquarters of the event will be the Mostra d’Oltremare, while the award ceremony will be held on the 20th of June at the Magic World.
