Festival in Sorrento 2010

sagre_sorrentoSummer 2010 in Sorrento: between June and August, the Sorrento Peninsula celebrates the summer with food and wine festivals, to discover all the flavors and traditions, to not forget.
In August, events increase, especially in small villages.

And it is in the hills of Vico Equense, that hold many festivals, which worthwhile to visit.

The festival, which opens the festivities  is the “Feast of the country tastes" in Ticciano, from Saturday 7th of August to Tuesday 10th of August, a festival to discover the ancient recipes of traditional country, such as goat meat at the ticcianese’s way,  bean soup, caponata, wine and extra virgin olive oil.

From Sunday 15th of August to Tuesday 17th of August is also the time of Massaquano, with "Aromas of the ancient village”, in its second edition, finishing in style with the" Festival of eggplant”, from Friday 20 th of August to Saturday 21st of August in Preazzano, a celebration of the delicious flavors of the traditional Neapolitan cooking, with eggplant elected as queen of the manifestation.




Moving from Vico Equense to Sant 'Agnello, we find the festival "Land, water and fire", one of the eagerly awaited appointment in the peninsular calendar. A festival in the sign of art, music and the gourmet food: we suggest you to taste the rustic meat ball and the famous San Rocco’s meatball, and Saturday, 21st of August at 21.30 Luca Sepe in concert.

Whereas on the Colli di Fontanelle, on Thursday 26th of August to Sunday 29 th of August, on Colli di Fontanelle there is "Colli di Fontanelle Exhibition”, with food stands and local products.
