Music in Sorrento: Caruso awards 2009
Renzo Arbore will receive the award this year at 2009 Caruso, an honor that the town of Sorrento given annually to an artist who is particularly distinguished in the arts. The prize will be awarded July 15 during an awards ceremony at Marina Grande in Sorrento.
The evening will be hosted by Anna Falchi and will be attended by Michael Bolton, Massimo Ranieri, the winner of X-Factor Matthew Spouts, dancers Raffaele Paganini, and Giuseppe Picone. Obviously there will also Renzo Arbore and his orchestra Italian.
A special evening to celebrate the Italian musical tradition of which Enrico Caruso was the first performer in the world.
The most remarkable life of the tenor, Sorrento, who chose as his final resting place will be told with music and dance.
The event will
recording from the cameras and broadcast on Rai Uno in the early evening July 22.
